Ich bin Sprachlehrer und habe auf einer großen Plattform unterrichtet, aber ich fühlte mich unfair behandelt.

Nicht wegen der Arbeit selbst, sondern wegen dem System der Plattform.

Das Provisionsproblem, das niemand laut sagt

Wenn ein Schüler 100 Euro für Unterrichtsstunden bezahlt, zieht die Plattform ihre Provision ab und überweist dem Tutor zum Beispiel 82 Euro. Das weiß jeder. Was wenige wissen: In den AGBs der großen Plattformen steht, dass die Provision vom Tutor erhoben wird, nicht vom Schüler. Das hat echte Konsequenzen. In vielen Ländern muss der Tutor die vollen 100 Euro als Einnahmen angeben, also den Betrag, den der Schüler bezahlt hat. Die 18 Euro, die er nie gesehen hat, darf er nicht einfach als Betriebsausgabe abziehen. Und wenn man nach einer Rechnung für die Provision fragt, um sie wenigstens steuerlich geltend machen zu können, stellt die Plattform keine aus.

Was noch hinzukommt

Diese Situation allein wäre schon schwer genug. Aber da ist noch mehr. Rankings, die einen abstrafen, wenn man eine Stunde absagt oder auch nur verschiebt. Sanktionen, die ohne Erklärung kommen. Zahlungsmethoden, über die man kein Mitspracherecht hat. Man unterrichtet auf ihrer Plattform, nach ihren Regeln, für ihren Algorithmus.

Etwas muss sich ändern.

Ich habe german-help.com für Tutoren gebaut, die fair behandelt werden wollen. Hier behältst du als Tutor alles, was du verdienst. Keine Provision. Keine Ranking-Sanktionen. Keine Einschränkungen bei Zahlungsmethoden. Die Abrechnung zwischen Tutor und Schüler läuft direkt und ist für beide Seiten nachvollziehbar.

Für Schüler bedeutet das: Lehrerinnen und Lehrer, die freiwillig hier sind. Die sich nicht nach einem Algorithmus verbiegen, sondern einfach gut unterrichten wollen.

Ich lebe in Paraguay und baue das hier Schritt für Schritt weiter aus. Eine Plattform, die auf der Seite der Lehrer steht und trotzdem für Schüler funktioniert.

The commission problem that nobody talks about openly

When a student pays 100 dollars for lessons, the platform deducts its commission and transfers, say, 82 dollars to the tutor. Most people know that part. What fewer people notice is what the terms and conditions actually say: the commission is charged to the teacher, not to the student. In practice that has real consequences. In many countries, the teacher has to declare the full 100 dollars as income, the amount the student paid. The 18 dollars in commission that the tutor never received cannot simply be deducted as a business expense. And when you ask the platform for an invoice so you can at least claim the deduction, they do not issue one.

What else comes with it

That situation alone would be hard enough. But there is more. Rankings that penalize you for canceling a lesson or even moving lessons. Sanctions that arrive without explanation. Payment methods you have no say in. You teach on their platform, by their rules, for their algorithm.

Something needs to change.
